Just got this new motherboard and all is fine except it not detecting one HDD.. (HDD is fine in other computers) Its not seen in the BIOS at all and does not spin up..
If you remove the SATA cable the HDD Spins up and then if you plug it back in the bios (after a reboot) will see it and all is fine untill you turn the computer off...

Intel 4700K (Currently No overclock)
32Gb RAM 4x8Gb

Things Tried
Different SATA Slots.
Cables
Newer BIOS.
different PSU
With out GPU (EG on board)
Bios Reset.
Bios defaults.

IM now out of ideas.. HELP!!!

Thanks
Rob

As a temporary measure i have installed a Adaptec AAR-1430SA Serial ATA HostRAID Controller and the disk works fine same cable / same power supply etc..
So there is a compatibility problem with this disk and the motherboard..
SAMSUNG HD203WI
For info.

Still want to remove this card and get it working on the internal ports..

Not sure if this will help but, is the firmware on the drive up-to-date? Check here: http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/223631en for Firmware update for this drive just in case that's the problem.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
