Digital Sound - Glitchy on GA-X58A-UD3R
« on: March 06, 2011, 03:23:50 am »
I have a Tritton Dolby digital headset plugged into the Optical port in back of motherboard. I also have an SPDIF Coaxial cable going to my receiver to the motherboard.

Both have the same issue. When I play any sound/music/test - I get glitchy drops of audio every few seconds.
Anyone else have this problem?

thanks!

Quick update, I just tried with normal mini stereo headphones and I get the same thing.
No matter the device I'm using to listen to it, I get popping / glitchy sound

Hi

I would say that what you are experiencing ios a latency problem. To check this out download and run DPCLatency checker and see if you get any high scores. If there are any in the red section then you need ot sort it.
