I've also put Microsoft Crash fix but that didn't help at all.

Try using a single stick of memory in the first slot.

Also make sure that you have disabled not only the C states but all power saving settings in both Windows and the BIOS.

Hi All,

I've seen similar freezing problems on a Dell laptop, and in that case disabling the virtualisation features fixed it.

After disabling the Intel virtualisation features in the BIOS, we've had no crashes all evening on our GA-Z77-D3H.

Perhaps try disabling your virtualisation completely, or just the VT-d, and see what happens. Please post back if you try this, and let us all know how it goes!

I think i'll gor for Asrock if i don't get all working and looks like i won't :( Lost 2 days on trying to fix this and nothing helped.

And there is one interesting thing in this. When i'm playing games it NEVER freeze. I was in BF3 for like 5-6 hours and not a single freeze. But in windows. on starting computer, in bios... it's freezing all the time.

Maybe it is to do with multi threading. It does sound strange that it runs ok in games but not Windows.  :-\

It is not strange. My situation is the same. Under load, the PC never freezes.
And it's very sad, because if you take it to the service center, all tests are successfully completed.

On the face of an obvious problem with energy-saving technologies or C-statе.
At best, this is a problem with the BIOS, in the worst PWM controller or power circuits, which can not be right to lower the voltage, or give the wrong voltage.

It is also very alarming temperature Z77 = 25C, this is not normal and may indicate that the BIOS does not correctly work with the chipset. On other boards of other manufacturer temperature > 35C.

Have you tried looking to see if any Windows dump files (or minidumps) are generated (usually in System Root)..? Does Event Viewer bring up any critical event codes/descriptions..??

Does the system remain stable for a while in safe mode or starting Windows in a low resolution from the booting F8 command menu..?

there no errors message in any form, minidump or event viewer other than didn't shut down correctly. I have had a stable system for 4 hours going between idle and web browsing with only 1 core enabled. any1 else tried disabling all but 1 core?
just froze up :(

Two days ago I changed the motherboard GA-Z77-D3H to a new low-cost MSI Z77A-G43 (I need COM-port support). Everything else devices is the same as it was before.
Both motherboards have the same logic Z77 so Windows 7 x64 was not been reinstalled (left from the old installation on GA-Z77-D3H), only the driver on  Realtek LAN and Audio was added.
2 days, flight is normal, no freezes! Despite the fact that all the devices is same even installation of Windows 7 x64.

Before this I had a MSI motherboard, and it is working 24*7. I do not know what prompted me to buy a Gigabyte, I am very upset with the products of this company because  all boards ZH77 have freeze bug, even top model GZ-Z77X-UD5H. Now I'm back with the MSI and very happy.

I am having the same issue.
MB: GA-Z77-D3H
CPU: i5-3450
RAM: VisionTek DDR3 2x4GB
VC: MSI N460GTX
HDD: Western Digital 500GB Caviar Blue.

exact same problem, freezes at random times with no pattern.
Does anyone have this board with a 3rd gen Intel i series chip and it work?

setting the  BLCK 100.1 seems to fix the freezing issue. Stable for 5 hours now others have reported the same http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/48463-gz-z77x-ud5h-random-freezing-shutdowns-7.html

This fix also works for me on a Z77-D3H with a new i5 3570k.  Before this I could play a game for ~20 minutes before a freeze, since changing I've managed a few hours and no lockups so far.

Well, it would certainly seem like you have hit upon the solution then. Have you relayed this information to GGTS so thay can make a more permanent fix ?
