As topic says, you gigabyte techs needs to upgrade the bios for the gigabyte 990fxa ud5 rev 3.0 motherboard cause there is no option to change the volt to the northbridge (nb-vid)! So i am stuck at about 2400mhz nb. My volt to the nb is stock volt at 1.1875v! We need a nb-vid option in bios to be able to clock our nb!!! And i have been mailing one of your techs that said that it was either the "nb core" or the "nb voltage" option in bios but it isnt any of them ,me and others have tried to change it with these options without sucess. So please look into this matter cause its unnaceptable for a high end motherboard to not have that option!

2400 Mhz NB it s quite ok i would say at that voltage.
It s a missing feature, but you wont get to much gain out of the NB rise in real world.At least it s what i see on my own FX stuff.
Play with the CPU clock instead ,otherwise ... :)

Problem solved, the "cpu/nb" volt is called "NB core" voltage in bios. I changed it by a little first like 0.025+ and couldnt raise the cpu/nb from 2400 to 2600. And after the + volt on the nb core voltage aida64 and such programs still shows cpu/nb voltage at stock. So i raised the nb core voltage to 0.125+ and raised cpu/nb speed to 2600mhz and logged into windows and it worked, but still in aida64 and such programs the cpu/nb volt shows up as stock.
So the "Nb core" is the cpu/nb in the Gigabyte990fx ud5 rev 3.0 motherboard! And if you have same problem as i had, raise nb core with offset value 0.125+v and try 2600mhz cpu/nb speed. good luck.
