Title: Gigabyte repair in Taipei, Taiwan
Post by: simon91 on November 13, 2016, 06:06:36 am
Hi,

Last year I purchased a P55W-V4 laptop while living in China. I'm now living in Taiwan.

I found my laptop is having some major issues while gaming. While plugged in at the mains, during intensive load only (gaming), the laptop alternates between using the AC mains, and the battery - causing big frame rate drops in periods that range between 5 seconds and up to a few minutes. I searched on Google for this issue and found a few other people reporting the exact same issue with this model.

I just took the laptop to a shop to test another AC adapter and different cable and neither resolved the issue. The man in the shop tested the current and found that the current of power was cutting out.

My question is where can I bring my laptop in Taipei to get it repaired? I'm still within the 2 year warranty period and I'm hoping as Gigabyte is a Taiwan company (surely there's no better place to be for this!) I can get this sorted without having to deal with shipping it somewhere.

Many thanks
