So I just got this motherboard a week ago and built my system new.
So I upgraded my bios from F3 to F4 to get the latest bios.
In F3 bios I could enable XMP memory profile with all the auto settings no problem.
F4 bios cant boot with XMP default profile and auto settings (it boots windows 10 fine with it disabled. )
In F4 bios if I do that the board doesnt boot and resets back with XMP disabled. I can get it to boot with XMP enabled with setting ram frequency manually to 3600Mhz (Ram is capable of 3866Mhz).
I have GSKILL Z RGB 3866Mhz ram
This board has backup bios feature which i am not familiar with - will the backup bios also have been updated. I used @bios in windows 10 to update the bios from the Gigabyte image.
I want to go back to F3 to see the position again will throwing the switch on the motherboard for backup bios get me F3 bios ?. thank you

Getting your 3866Mhz ram to run at 3600 is great. Is the RAM on the QVL for your board? The section for 3800~3866 is pretty short, but is dominated by GSkill DIMMs. If you are stable, I'd call it a day.

Thank you. So I powered it down, flipped the switch on the motherboard to use backup bios and booted and yes the backup bios is still F3. That is a great feature Gigabyte!
So the F3 bios I can confirm I am able to set XMP profile 1 with all the defaults and it boots no issue with this memory.
Running CPU-Z in windows 10 reports the memory frequency as 2*1866 = 3732Mhz with Bios F3.
As mentioned above Bios F4 with the same settings (XMP profile 1 and everything else set to auto) fails to even boot through the bios. I have to override the bios auto frequency to use memory frequency 3600Mhz

I'd stick with F3 for the time being. Its highly probable there will be another BIOS for this board.
I agree, the dual bios feature is great. I left Asus after 13 yrs because of this one feature alone.

Did you ever resolve it? I can say that the F5 bios which I think is Obsolete now does boot with XMP profile1 @ 1.35v for that memory (well it does on mine).

I found the XMP default profile working on BIOS version F3 and F5, but F6 and the F7a BIOS don't seem to support it - i don't want to downgrade but maybe I should just switch . How did you get the RAM to work at 3600 manually? I can't even boot with that!

Switch to the backup bios (throw the switch on the motherboard when powered off and then boot up). In the bios set the the default xmp profile and that should sense the speed of the memory.
