Title: GA-AX370-GAMING 5 BIOS Update
Post by: yogS on April 03, 2017, 10:59:25 pm
Amd released some microcode updates last week. All the mobo manufacturers have released a new BIOS update based on the updates provided by AMD. When can we expect an update for AX370-GAMING 5?

+1.

Most other mobo manufacturers seem to be bringing out regular updates for their AM4 boards. Not so the case with Gigabyte it seems. Is this a usual thing for this company?

I wonder how much longer we are going to have to wait.  Highest ram speed I have managed is 2400 :(

Has anyone been able to get the Smart Fan 5 working in the SIV app on Windows 10?  I have re-installed multiple times, run as Admin, run in compatibility mode for Win 8 and Win 7, but I am completely unable to manage my fan settings.  They are all grayed out and you can't select them.

Yes same here, all greyed out except the system info. Are they supposed to work. Pretty useless stuff in my opinion if they do not work. :(

I've been playing with F3 on the Gaming 7. The F3f allowed me to get to 2933MHz RAM, the F3 won't boot up past 2400 again.
I'm hoping that there may be some more updates that help fix this, but it may be some time in coming :(

Updated gaming 5 x370 to F5 bios. A strange thing happened when I tried to get the memory to 2966 (or whatever it is). It failed to boot and then removed my F5 bios and went back to F5d. Booted itself to Windows 10 and told me the "firmware needed to be reinstalled" so I said yes to it.......1 hour later it still had a "rebooting in 5 seconds" message on screen. Had no choice but to restart, luckily it posted to F5D, once it loaded windows10 again I @BIOSed it to F5. Worked but a bit scary.

Anyone know how to get "Smart Fan 5 Auto" app to work (via SIV in App Centre https://sites.google.com/site/ryzen7rig/apps (https://sites.google.com/site/ryzen7rig/apps) app) in Windows 10.
