It stands for Gigabyte Windows Utility Manager, a very old tool for Easy Tune 4 only.

Yes I am surprised that you have it on your system in the first place.

When you had an old version of the GIgabytetool @BIOS in your Windowssystem and you uninstalled with ¨the add or remove software function¨ of Windows, then the old gigabyte utility Gwum stays in your computer as you can see when you want to install the latest
version of the @bios software.
I used the trick to reinstall (automatic update to) the old @BIOS version and after that tried to install the latest advised @BIOS version from Gigabyte, this new installationpackage removed then the old @BIOS including the old Gwum. You can update to a larger size BIOS then.
The Gigabyte website gives inadequate information here.

Thanks for that workaround. I am sure that there will be others who will find it useful. ;)
