Title: Marvell 91xx config ATA Device dont work properly help
Post by: lucanorillo on November 02, 2011, 10:31:19 pm
Hello. I have a motherboard GA-Z68XP-UD5  (rev. 1.0 with windows 7 Ultimate 64bits
All works fine, but I have a bit problem.
1- In the system tray i can see the icon to extact sure with Marvell 91xx ATA Device and no one is connected in the two eSata of the rear pannel. Is it normal?
2- If I connect an external box with two hard drives ( in JBOD mode) in one of this eSata the system dont detect the drives, but if I connect the same box by USB there is no problem.
So, what happens with this eSata ports???? (I install the Marvell Console driver SATA3 versiĆ³n 1.0.0.1015
Thanks

Hi and welcome.

My first thought would be to check to see if the ESATA is actually enabled in the BIOS. Also is the external box connected to a power source ?

The external box is connected to a power source. YES.
The eSata is enabled in the BIOS :
eSata3controller: ENABLED
eSata3 CTRL mode: AHCI
eSata3 Transaction Mode: Fw Mode

What do you think?
