Title: Help with GA-X79-UD5
Post by: allen on July 27, 2012, 03:24:54 pm
I am trying to build a custom PC with the following components:

Motherboard - GA-X79-UD5
CPU - Intel i7-3930K
RAM - Corsair 16GB DDR3 1600MHz
Video - Nvidia GeForce 8400GS

The system powers up but does not seem to POST.  There is a series of rapid beeps lasting about half a minute.  There doesn't seem to be a pattern, just 30 seconds of very fast beeps.  The cpu and case fan run but there is no display on the monitor.  I've re-seated the ram, cpu and video card a few times but there is no change.  I've also removed the ram and video card but, again, no difference.

If I've left out any information, please let me know and I'll respond ASAP.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

It appears that the motherboard is bad.  I've ordered a replacement.  Thanks to all those who took the time to read my post.
