« on: April 21, 2014, 03:10:49 am »
so recently I had a BSOD on my custom made PC it said CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION
and caused by the driver ntoskrnl.exe I want to know how I can fix this problem. I've already ran memtest several times but have never had an error so I doubt it's my memory. my full system specs are

Intel I5 4570
Gigabyte Z87M- D3H
G. Skill 8Gb ram
120GB samsung Evo SSD
500 GB western digital caviar blue
Asus Direct CU II GTX 760
Windows 7 64bit

A quick search on google for: critical_object_termination ntoskrnl.exe windows 7 brought up quite a few posts on the internet about this issue and most would seem to indicate a problem with the OS itself or possibly the HDD/SSD.

Basic things to try would include:
Running Check Disk to see if there are any issues with the main drive.
Running in Safe Mode to see if the problem is noticeable in that environment.
Running the Windows 7 Repair option from the Windows 7 install disk.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
