Z97x-soc problems
« on: October 04, 2014, 10:53:40 am »
Hii all my pc is new with the current setup.

GA Z97x-soc
i7 4790K
corsair vengeance pro 2133 2x4gb
mx100 256gb
corsair h100i
corsair RM650

Now it looks like this problem is on cold boot.
In the bios i have seen that my cpu automatically went to 4.4Ghz, and the Ram was at 1333, the only thing i have changed is the RAM settings to 2133mhz as thats the memory i have bought. I dont remember doing anything else.
Now on normal use the computer will just go off like a power cut and 4-5 sec latter boot back up with a blue screen on top says UEFI BIOS
and something about boot failure detected and showing my cpu settings which i believe is back to stock il attach a pic of the problem.
Now after i revert to stock and boot up ican stress test the pc as long as i want.

Is the pronblem with the ram being on 2133? but it says on the box 2133mhzfor the ram.

help ;D

Could be a BIOS issue. What BIOS version are you running?

There is also a newer F6b beta BIOS available over at TweakTown here: http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-beta-bios.html which is also worth trying if the F6 doesn't resolve the issue.

Edited: Removed incorrect information and download link.

Sorry, my mistake the correct link is: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4967&dl=1&RWD=0#bios
Although the only difference might seem to be the LAN there may be other hardware differences which you are not aware of so DO NOT use the Force mobo's BIOS.

okay so left it on 4.4 ghz and the ram to 2133 and on a cold boot around 5 minutes from booting a big click and the motherboard is off.
i get the blue screen with Boot failure detected. Is there such a thing like a log of events on the motherboard or somewhere where i can check? From the last crash i have changed the ram slots to 2 black from orange. The problem is its so hard to replicate the issues as it only happens once on cold boot and after that its running ok no matter what setting i put in bios

Have U found a solution for your problem?
I have the same issue!

From Easy Tune i choose:
From CPU Advance OC profile 1 and
From Advance DDR OC profile 2

Twice every 12 hours i take the same UEFI blue screen and always CPU stays at 3400 MHz but RAM goes to 1596Mhz not 2133.

i7 4790K and i5-4460 both use:

Memory Types  DDR3-1333/1600, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.5V

It doesn't make much sense to run 2133MHz speed memory with no overclock. Running memory settings far out of spec can be expected to fail due to incorrect configuration.
1) GA-Z97X-Gaming 7, G3258,
2) GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev. 1.1, FX-8350
3) GA-AM1M-S2P, Sempron 3850 Kabini

Is the pronblem with the ram being on 2133? but it says on the box 2133mhzfor the ram.

help ;D

Go to BIOS -> Power Management and set
