Hi Guys,

I have been working with the following setup on a GA-990XA UD3 motherboard:

Ports 0-3 RAID and 4-5 SATA

1 x SSD - port 0 - OS
1 x SSD - port 1 - data
2 x HDD - ports 2-3 - RAID 0
1 x SSD - port 4 - data

What I have just tried without success:

Same port configuration: 0-3 RAID and 4-5 SATA

2 x SSD - ports 0-1 RAID 0 (new array - ok)
2 x HDD - ports 2-3 - RAID 0 (old array - ok)
Moved OS SSD to port 4 (SATA)

Problem is the BIOS would not show the port 4 OS SSD among the boot device list (even after reboot / loading the recommended BIOS configuration and setting the SATA modes again).

Any ideas?

Is it not possible to boot from a disk on ports 4-5 at all?

Regards,
Dragos

Fixed it!

I had connected the OS SSD to port 5 (last port) not 4... strange enough plugging it into port 4 worked...
