Problems with RAM

Problems with RAM
« on: February 28, 2015, 03:41:18 pm »
Hello, something has been bugging me lately. New games have been acquiring higher graphics, including more RAM. So i have been using 8GB of RAM for some time now. So i went into my system properties to check my specs. And it stood that i have 5.5GB of RAM available? I have 4 2gb's ram memory cards. And it really has been bugging me. If you need more information i would be glad to post it. (Off the Topic.) I have seen RAM that are only half the size? I mean like 2 different 2gb's ram which is only half the size?

Your sincerely
Max,

Hi there,

the amount of available RAM that is available will be dependant on several factors. These include:
The Operating System being used.
Hardware.
Software & Apps running in the background.

If you could post back with more information such as full hardware specs., Operating System, USB Devices, main software you are using, etc. then we maybe able to help you a little more.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
