Hi All,

New system build

GA-970A-DS3P rev 2.0
FX-8350
Kingston Hyper X DDR3 2400mhz

Mobo is defaulted to 1600mhz, I am struggling to get this to clock up.

I believe the board should support up-to 2000. definitely 1800.

anyway I have tried using easytune6 to do this, this gave me a boot failure.

I am unsure how to manually set the timings and which ones exactly i need to set, and also, do i have to change the dram setting.

In this mobo it gives the option of xmp with 2 profiles, i have tried both of those and they give a boot failuire also.

anybody with any experience of this board or any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.

Understand that CPU will only support memory up to 1866. Any thing over that you will have to OC your CPU to match the speed of the memory you are trying to use. Plus on most AMD board you have to set the speed and timings of your memory.

This is what the board will support:
Support for DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules.

If you are using say DDR3-1866 / CL 9-9-9-28

You set the speed at 1866

You set the timings at 9 - 9 - 9 - 28

When it comes to OC your CPU I can't tell you how to do that sorry. I don't play the OC game I buy stuff that everything supports.
