X99 ud4p power question

X99 ud4p power question

My motherboard came with a cable to connect 3 power supply cables to the one connector on the mb if you overclock. My evga supply only has 2 of the type. The GB manual says i should plug in 3. Are 3 necessary. If so is there an adapter i can buy
