h61m-s2pv rev2.2 - help me with strange behaviour???
« on: September 20, 2015, 12:49:25 pm »
I’m getting the following behaviour from this motherboard….

Hardware used (2120t sandybridge, 8gb corsair vengeance, 500watt seasonic psu)

With no pci cards installed, with 100% repeatability…
Posts fine, can enter bios, but..
Booting from any device will cause a system crash (full reboot, no error message), you can see the software loading fine in the monitor for about half a second then the system reboots.
If you try to boot directly from bios: selecting UEFI boot, the boot fails and returns you to the bios. Selecting legacy boot, the system crashes (full reboot, no error message).
I have tried with numerous boot devices (usb sticks and hdds)

With a graphics card in the pciex16 slot, with 100% repeatability…

Posts fine and will boot from any device.
Whatever bios settings I choose I cannot get video output from the card to work, but video is outputted from the intel on chip graphics!
I can run any stress tests I want, system is 100% stable.

With a PCI audio card installed on any PCI slot, with 100% repeatability…
The system will not post at all, no beeps, powers on for about 10 seconds and then auto reboots.

I have tried all the  obvious things (3 different bios roms, CMOS reset, the processor, psu and memory all tested in another machine).

Any help appreciated with this!
