Win7 USB3 drivers won't install
« on: February 07, 2016, 10:29:06 pm »
I dropped a Ticket to support not realizing there was a Gigabyte forum. I'm having trouble installing USB3, here are the details-:

GA-F2A88X-D3H mobo version 3.
2 x 4GB Corsair RAM (mobo recommended part No.)
Trinity A6-5400K APU 3.6GHz.
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

At the moment I'm running Linux Mint and USB3 works fine. On Windows 7 only the USB2 are working. I've tried installing from the  mobo DVD and downloading from the website.

I'm getting two yellow flags in 'Other devices' - USB controllers. The message is-:

Quote
Windows found software for your device but encountered an error whilst trying to install it. The system cannot find the file specified.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm running Linux to get me by, could anyone tell me what chip-set the USB's are?

I did read somewhere where a couple of files had to be renamed. Thanks, Dave.
