Random cold boot issue
« on: February 19, 2016, 10:03:41 am »
Hi, for the past few months I've been experiencing this problem powering the PC on. I hit the button and nothing happens. If I switch the PSU or the powerstrip on and off a few times then the PC turns on by itself and then boots up with no problems and behave perfectly even when stressed. I own a GA-Z68XP-UD4 Rev 1.0. My PSU is a Sesonic X-760. These are the two components I've ruled down as being case of the problem. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if this is it, but it sounds like the power switch on the PSU. But you are saying too if you switch the power strip it will turn. But it might be enough electric jolt to get the switch working. I would tap on the switch on the PSU just a little to seen if that is the problem.
