Waiting for the battle to begin: YoYoTech and Benchtec

Ben

Preparations to competition

Start of assembly: YoYoTech, Benchtec and Ben

DarkCat and Midland Computers

Connecting the cables - see the hammer Shocked on the table, just in case  Wink

The race began - looking for the best BIOS settings  Huh

YoYoTech was using water cooling

One more MHz please!

Special attention during filling the flasks with Liquid Nitrogene

Media and audience gathered

Benchtec was using Liquid Nitrogene (LN2) for CPU cooling

Temperature dropped slowly

LN2 boiling in cooper CPU pot (heatsink)

See what happens when LN2 is poured into water

The winner was Philip from Midland Computers, our congratulations! He will go to Prague in April to represent UK during European GOOC competitions. MD of Gigabyte UK  John Hung gratulates Philip Brown.

And finally all participarts with some of Gigabyte staff

Excellent event - thx to everyone that joined.  Grin

We had some good scores, even when using AIR.
This must be down to the quality build of the Gigabyte X58 boards - especially the 2oz Copper  Tongue

Serious, thx for the support.

If Benchtec had submitted the 3DM06 result to HWB, it would have been bronze for the GTX260-216! The GPUs overclock like crazy!

Thanks again for inviting us! Hope to be at next years event- maybe even see the Gigabyte staff at another event before then?

Cheesy

Cheers!

Nice work 3rd! Given the time limit too I am sure you could have done better! I just got my UD4P and PSU etc dropped off today as I was on my moped Tongue

That was alot of fun, hope to do it again once I have tried LN2 / dice
