Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 Performance Question
« on: May 29, 2016, 10:46:58 am »
So just built my new PC. Got a brand new GTX 970. I have set it to OC mode, and I get 1455 MHz when playing games. On the web-page for the GPU it says it goes up to 1354 in OC mode. I didnt do any changes, how comes the performance is better than it is listed on the page? Sometimes after a couple of hours it goes to 1443 Mhz. The FPS is still 60, but im just curious. I know the performance is adaptive so it changes depending on how GPU intensive certaing areas of the game are. But it seems like it gets capped at 1443. Temps are 50-65 degrees celsius and fan speeds are set to AUTO. I take it those are good for this GPU? Voltage hits 1.225 during gameplay and memory clock is 7010 MHz. I can also hear what appears to be coil whine when I put my head next to the case but all electronic equipment emmits that sound right? No need to worry about it if it is really quiet? Anyways im really satisfied with this new PC and all of its components. Maybe im just a bit paranoid since I just got it!
