gigabyte 990X Gaming SLI
« on: December 07, 2016, 12:19:23 pm »
i make an PC with gigabyte 990X Gaming SLI rev1, latest bios.
Sometimes no sound at all in win10, sometimes sound dissapear after few hours in windows.
analog 5.1 system and earpieces.
In bios there are a new setting: USB AUDIO DAC, with it ON, no sound after boot( not always but...)
with it OFF, sound dissapear after few hours.
Nothing seem to work, windows audio disabled/enabled, tested microsoft and gigabyte driver , latest win10 updates etc
Today i installed 2.80 realtek drivers( it seems that till this week realtek audio driver wasnt compatible to win10, but this driver is) dont know if this bug is fixed or not yet.
Anyone saw this bug on these new mainboards, with alc1150?
Thanks.

well i tested 2.80 realtek new driver with this alc1150, the same, after few hours sound dissapear on 5.1 analog system and on earpieces. I think its realtek hardware problem or maybe gigicrap firmware bug.
After a week or so no response on gigicrap support. So....its not worth it.
Maybe i will exchange this crap with an MSI, or ASUS. MSI respond in almost 24 hours always with custom firmware  etc

i think i resolve it.
No sound after few hours in windows 10 on mediaplayer classic, not on all of them( winamp, bsplayer etc).
I update k-lite codecs to a newer one, now i have sound after few hours of pc sleeping.
