Auto recovery loop - RMA?
« on: April 24, 2010, 07:28:49 pm »
Hi. I just bought a MA78LMT-US2H motherboard from ebuyer.com and it appears to be faulty.

Keep booting up with "Bios Auto-recovering" also saying "Begin to update backup bios to latest version" Its in a loop.

I would flash the bios, however, there doesnt seem to be one for my rev. There is rev 1.0 and rev 1.3 on the website, however mine is rev 1.1. and to be totally honest, I don't wanna risk it :P

Would like to RMA for a fix/replacement, should I go through Ebuyer, or should I go directly to you(gigabyte)? If I should go directly to you, how do I go about rma'ing? any costs involved also?

thanks.

Think I may have figured out whats wrong.

one ram may be dodgy, have tested them, one makes it to windows 7 splash screen(doesnt go further why? its 64-bit, ) one makes it go to the bios auto re recovering screen... could this ram chip be causing it to display "bios auto recovering....." ? but what about windows not reaching desktop on 2gb? :s
