I had the same motherboard and cooler, I had to reinstall the H50 because the fan wasn't spinning for some reason. I re-plugged the corsair fan in and it was fine afterwards.

Yes, well that would have definitely given you an overheat situation in no time.

The motherboard sorta detected that the fan wasn't connected and refused to boot properly. And yeah they processor gets pretty hot pretty damn fast haha

Luckilly modern processors have overheating protection whereas the older processors would have just gone up in smoke if you didn't realise in time.
