First of all Hi,And soz for my bad english ;/  Shocked

I would like to know is AMD Athlon II x2 240 Compatible with GA-M61P-S3 ? And Yeah I upgraded my Bios to F7f .

It's not in list , But i think that if Phenom II X2 550 is supported,than I can't see reason why Athlon II Wouldn't be too ..  Huh

And one more question is big difference bettwen HT3.0(5200 MT/s) and   HT1.0(2000 MT/s)  ?!  Undecided

Hi all

My apologies to re-open this thread but there is in an existence a beta 7Fg bios which I am led to believe is only a fix for a video cart booting issue. It is not readily available though publically. Does anyone else know any more information about this beta  bios?

Additionally in the latest CPU list - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2434&dl=1#dl, there are only compatibility with C2 stepping Phenom II processors such as the Phenom II x945. With C3 steppings now out on most of these same processors, does anyone know why a C3 stepping of the same processor will not work, or if so does anyone know if they do work / has tried a C3 stepping compatible processor?

One more question to Gigabyte is whether the bios can be modified to meet the latest C3 stepping processors like they released the 7Fg bios ?

There is newer bios F7l (http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2434&dl=1#bios) than the one you mentioned. Please try with it regarding VGA issue if you have any.

This bios supports some of C3 steppings, for details check the list:
