Don't blame me... it worked fine b4 you touched it

« on: June 02, 2009, 11:01:26 am »

Is it just me or does anyone else have problems viewing any of the gigabyte websites?

The problem I refer to is that the browser loads most of the page but hangs for ten - twenty seconds or so and I get an error saying that a script on the page (or more recently, 'a movie') is causing my PC to run slowly, and do I want to abort?

BTW I'm using XP Pro SP3 and  Firefox 3.

Am I missing a plugin or something? As it doesnt actually provide a solution, other than to abort the script?

Thanks in advance

I visted the website and it all works for me, so must be a plugin not working correctly or something for you.

Have you tried resetting all internet settings to default? Cleared cache etc?

yeah I clear cache and cookies on a regular basis.

I'll try updating plugins and stuff when I get 5 mins, but to be honest, its been like this for a long time, so I'm not exactly confident that it will work.

just to confirm, the Gigabyte link you added, although a little slow, works fine in Mozilla.

Have you tried any of the other gigabyte sites?

@Whitehot
yeah tried both those links and the .fr and .de - french and german sites and all the same.
I've got Adobe Flash 10 installed so upto date with that - unless I'm barking up the wrong tree, and its not something directly related to Flash

@oggmonster
Yeah I tried that too, but it made no difference.
I'm using Firefox anyway so I'd rather forget about the IE settings because I don't want to have to go back to using that.

Next stop, uninstall Firefox and personal settings - re-install Firefox from scratch.

I'm sure I have same problem on PC at home as well though?Huh Huh Huh Huh
