the real temps, who has the right ones

hi i have ma785gm us2h 1.1 latest bios, phenom 965be

i have a problem monitoring temps, i don't know which ones are the real ones, using amd overdrive or using gigabyte easytuner, the difference is 5` so that's a lot

example
amd overdrive says 60`
gigabyte app says 55`

If you want temps as close to real as possible, go into bios ( press DEL during boot up ) and then under PC Health Status you'll find current temperatures read directly from sensors in your PC.

Other than that, I find CPUID HW Monitor and Everest to be most reliable here.

yeah but i need the full load temps, in bios i can't do that

using amd overdrive and cpuid temp i get higher temps than using easytune, i guess those are the real ones

Try CoreTemp http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ it shows you the temp of each core and is pretty good. The latest version also shows you the CPU frequency and load and, better still, it's free.

All of these programmes have their good and bad points. I have found that, for me, Core Temp is one of the better ones but that doesn't mean the others are no good. All these programmes really do is give a guide to how hot the CPU is running. If you want really accurate figures then you need to consider Hardware rather than Software for monitoring.

The programmes have different offsets is all. The CPU will report how far away it is from the maximum temperature (varies on each generation, ~85-105C) and then the applications will have to set a value that the CPU is and don't always get it right (Called the TJmax). Coretemp and Realtemp generally set the right one and are probably the most reliable.
