I have a GA-H55-USB3 and I have been trying to use ET6 to slow the system and CPU fan down to reduce noise.

The problem is that the ÇPU fan won't go slower than approx 900rpm and the system fan less than 450rpm with ET6. Huh

My temps even at these speeds are well within normal operating range (approx 30 Deg C).

Has anyone got this to work porperly?

I have also tried Speedfan but that doesn't seem to work at all well.

Personally I don't use or like these free programs that are supplied with the motherboards, not just Gigabyte but in general. So I am afraid I can't help you but there must be some people on the forum who do use it. I do know many people use the SmartFan in the BIOS for control.

Thanks for the feedback.

The only reason I tried ET6 was because Smartfan doesn't lower the speed as much as I want - it's also running the CPU fan at approx 900rpm if ET is disabled.

When running ET6 I haven't disabled Speedfan as I got the impression from the ET6 instructions is that I don't have to.

Anyone have a different experience?

Do the folks at Gigabtye read these posts and take notice of any issues? If not do you know how I can formally report bugs to Gigabtye.

Hi there,

Gigabyte do read these posts but.......

Your best bet is to either send a PM to the Forum Moderator runn3R or open a support ticket with Gigabyte Technical Support here: http://ggts.gigabyte.com.tw/tech.asp?ClassID=2&Country=U.K.&SourceWeb=B2C

Hi

No I am afraid this is mainly a self help forum where members just help out other users and although it is maintained by Gigabyte they don't have a lot to do with it as far as reading posts etc.

If you want to talk to Gigabyte's technical department you can contact them here:

Just enter your email address and click on the language of choice.

OK - Thanks. I have raised a support ticket - let's hope something get's done or I least get an answer - if I do I'll post it here in case others have the same problem.

With Gigabyte boards there are NEVER many options with regards to bios fan control or hardware monitoring in general. You have to buy a suitablel fan instead. So overall you end up paying more. Please Gigabyte listen.
