I've got a newly-built system using an EP45-UD3L rev. 1.1 mobo that has difficulty resuming activity after going to sleep. Hitting a key or moving the mouse will bring the monitor back up, but the system is frozen. Using ctl/alt/del will eventually bring it back to life, usually giving me a change user screen. When it doesn't, pushing the power switch will shut it down after a few minutes.
In my attempts to fix this, I've reset the BIOS, checked RAM voltage, and disabled Win7 settings to reduce any hits on the system. I have not flashed the BIOS, but will do so if necessary. I have not overclocked at all, but I did try upping the RAM voltage to 2.1v to see if that had any effect (no). The Event Viewer is a nightmare to me, but I would think a solution can be found with a little help to decipher its contents. Other than this problem, the system performs quite nicely. I've not had any other problems other than this. Here are the particulars on the build:
