GA-P55A-UD4 doesn't seem to read memory data correctly
« on: February 16, 2011, 07:09:25 pm »
DRAM = OCZ3P1333LV4GK
This kit should work at 1.65V and 7-7-7-20
The BIOS sets 1.5V and 7-7-7-19.
When I shange the timing, I only get 1060  MHz, and the BIOS tels me something like it rebooted because of overclocking.
Also I have to set the memory multiplier manually to 10.
I discovered that the BIOS backup version is F14, while the active version is F15.
I tried to press ALT+F12 during POST but only got the boot menu.
Please adbise.

Hi

I would recommend checking the meory with Memtest first.

Memtest86+        http://www.memtest.org/

Insert one stick of memory in slot 1 and run Memtest on it for at least 10 loops and if there are no errors then swap it over with the next one and continue untill you have checked all  modules.

If you have any errors the module is faulty.

If you have any faulty modules you will have to return the whole kit as they are matched.

Post back when you have done that with the results.
