Gigabyte K8100 keyboard not working

I just bought the Gigabyte K8100 yesterday. I have installed all the drivers, uninstalled and then reinstalled the drivers. The buttons that works are the macro, backlight button, and the mute button. The rest of the keyboard does not work. I am connecting this keyboard to my alienware laptop. can anyone help me with this problem? Is it a problem with my laptop or with the keyboard itself?

Make sure that the keyboard is connected directly to the motherboard via one of the USB2.0 ports on the rear I/O panel. Do not use USB3.0 or a hub.
