"An excellent motherboard which has great performance and some excellent features. Added to that it is the fastest AMD 990FX board we have tested so far."

Nice and I have ot say the GA-990FXA-UD5 is also a very impressive motherboard. Well done Gigabyte!  Cheesy

These boards will be even nicer when AMD get their act together and release the new AM3+ Processors for them.  Wink

It is most likely to be the new AMD SB950 Chipset Allan.

I will be running a few tests on the Marvell 88SE9172 chip in the next few days and will update my living review here:  http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,5704.0.html with the details of how I get on.

Good!....the more information I can glean the better!

Might be a silly one, but what the hell!....Absic, do you have a board / platform with the 88SE9128 and hopefully a C300 SSd or similar ?

 Aussie Allan........Thanks for the Tweet!

Hi Allan,

I have the same chipsets on the GA-990FXA-UD5 but sadly no SSD to check the full speeds.

However I can make direct comparisons against the Marvell 9128 chipset using the same HDD's and configurations as I did some testing on the GA-790XTA-UD4  about 18 months ago and still have all the information from that.
