dear gents,

I have just bought a gigabyte gtx 560  (CV-N56GOC-1(1,0,0))

while using it in game after a few minutes or while doing the system perfomance index test the pc will immediately reset

that's really really annoying. I'm not doing overcloking at all, not interested on it

my system is:

cpu: core i7 760
matherboard gigabyte p55m-ud2 bios f11 06/23/2010 (LATEST)
driver nvidia: 280.26 (latest)
operating system: Windows 7 64 bit pro edition (updated)
ram 6GB
psu: 600w
monitor: dual monitor dell 2407wfphc 1920 x 1200

I tryed do downclock it, to see if was more stable, but nothing changes, any idea hot to solve that situation?

i'm very disappointed by that situation, also because the company that sell it on amazon uk didn't send me the invoice, and is not answering to my emails, so I'm stuck!! that is also a company purchase beacuse we develop games, and we really need the invoice. Everything is bad and seems without a solution.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Try using different drivers for the graphics card as I have heard several people moaning about these and how unstable they are. Try some older ones.

Can't help with the receipt I'm afraid, you will have to contact the retailer about that! :-\

Yes I would suggest trying any other driver in the attempt to find one thta works successfully.  If you can't maybe we need to look at other options.

i have installed and tested
280.26
275.50
275.33
275.27

all of them are NOT WORKING, all of them where installed as clean installation, with the 275.50 release the pc could not start.

i tryed also older driver 270.61, 267,91 etc etc, but none is capable to recognize the card, and the installation stop immediately

one more weird thing, the software gigabyte OC_Guru recognize the card as a gtx 450

any other ideas?

Well from having tested all of those drivers and none of them working I think we have more of a problem there.

What make and model of PSU is it and how old ?

What slot have you got the card installed in ?

Have you connected both power plugs to the card ?

hi again,

- psu 30 days, just because the old (500 watt) one was not working anymore, and it's was planned to improve the graphic card, so i changed it with a new one, a cheap one,  the name over there is welly pro 600w
- I use the slot closer to the cpu, there was a palit 9400 and i changed this old card with the new gigabyte gtx 560
- I have connected both the power plugs, I have installed some molex splitter (Y) to do that because the gtx 560 need  4 plugs

the pc have one hd 500 gb, one dvd rw, one more network card.

I have double checked the power plug, removed e plugged again, I did another test, and resets the pc on Direct3D 10 ALU... again

Well the first thing is to change your PSU. Never buy a cheap and nasty power supply they can go wrong and take out all you other expensive components at the same time. Not only that just because it is marked 600W often they are nowhere near that rating. Purchase a good make like Seasonic, Corsair, Gigabyte, Thermaltake, Enermax, etc and try and get one with a single 12V rail if possible. I would advise you to get one of about 650W minimum. This will quite possibly cure your problems but it needs to be done first whatever.

SOLVED! was the PSU you was right....  i bought a corsair. just for you information, the old psu uses only 4 pin to the motherboard, the corsair use 8 pin, this is tha main difference.

anyway thank you for your effort
