GA-PA65-UD3-B3: RAM problem

Hello,

I just got a PC upgrade with the GA-PA65-UD3-B3 motherboard and i'm having some weird problems with the RAM and would love some advice.

I bought 4 sticks of G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1333 ram to use with the motherboard. Unfortunately, with all four sticks installed the computer fails to start.
It just turns on briefly and then right off again (And turns itself back on in a loop).

The thing is, when I use only two of the sticks the computer works perfectly. It doesnt matter which two sticks I use (I tried them all) and it doesnt seem to matter about which ram slots (i.e both the blue and the white pairs work)

What should I do? I really want to have that 16GB of ram available to me and i'm not really sure where to start looking to solve the problem.

Computer specs: Core i5 2500k, ATi 4870, 600W powersupply.

  Theres a hell of a lot of G.Skill in the support list on the giga site but it would be good to check anyway and your board supports a max of 1333 so make sure your traveling under that.......theres two version of your board ....1.0 and 1.1....make sure you use the right list.........also check maximum amount of memory your board will support

  Use your manual to establish which white slot is number one..........download Memtest to a Memorystick or DVD and begin testing the modules individually......10 passes each.

 I know it takes a long time but it's the only way to take the memory out of the problem list.

Just looking into the manual it appears that to have 4 sticks of ram they must be single sided. That's probably the problem? It says with 2 sticks they can be either DS or SS.

    There you go Box.....great news!.......you don't have to run all those tests after-all........the double sided Dims aren't supported for filling all slots...... So new board.......new memory........or you have a complete spare set of memory!......good pick again DM.

Hah yeah, i'll probably just sell the second set, i think 8GB of ram will do me for the next while! 
(I should probably read up on the memory limitations before i buy motherboards in the future!)

Yes always best to check up on the specs of anything you are interested in buying before parting with your hard earned!

By the way as a point of interest the Gigabyte memory list is not very comprehensive so I always advise people to use the memory manufacturer's website and their QVL for checking the compatibility with the motherboard. They are usually much better.
