Can I disable the touch mute-button?
That would be great because I don't need it and I accidentally touch it, which is extremely annoying.
I don't see a option for it. If it does not exist, is there any chance for that to be implemented? I mean, just a simple option would do it.

Thank you!

Hi and welcome.

Can you first please post the full model number of the keyboard as I can't seem to bring up any details of it.

Failing a software fix of course there is always the hardware modification approach. Wink

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "full model number".
something like GBN-K8100 or N14180 or R33006. I don't have the manual atm, only the keyboard.

Lol, I feel stupid.

Hope you can help in some way. I can't play Frets On Fire on this keyboard without muting the sound all the time! XD

Btw, I've tried keyboard remap programs that works via the registry, like "keytweak" which recognized the keystroke (the mute button) but I was unable to disable/remap it.

Hardware modification, that sounds scary, but I'm open to it I guess! :-]

I have just checked through the manual and there doesn't seem to be any easy way to disable this key. It might be worth checking in your profile section to see if you could set this function there. Failing that I think you should try and contact GGTS for help.

Just enter your email address and click on the language of choice.

Please expect several days for a reply.

Thank you. So now I've asked the GGTS as well, so let's see.
Check my profile section, what do you mean?

Well you are able to make certain "profiles" up and save them so that if you want specific settings for a particular game but different ones for something else you can keep them all ready and saved. If there is anywhere that it might be possible to alter the default setting for this button it would be there most likely.

The only thing I know about the "profiles", more precisely "modes" is that you can make macros individually for each mode and then switch between them. No changing of buttons is available what I know of, which is a shame of course.

I'll come back if GGTS gives me any valuable help.

Or else, I'll just have to simply overlook this and quit playing guitar games with my keyboard! ;P
