Hello

1) I have downloaded the latest bios (GV-N580SO-15IS.f31) from the gigabyte website intended for the gtx 580 soc.

2) My current bios version is GV-N580SO-15I_S.f1

The GIGABYTE VGA @BIOS does not let me update the bios as the 'Bios version not match"

Help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Mark

Hello

I also have this problem with the difference that my BIOS is version IT not IS. If I try to flash BIOS using the GIGABYTE VGA @ BIOS displays an error "Bios version not match". I have BIOS version GV-15I_T N580SO-F1 and I tried to upgrade to version GV-15IT N580SO-F31. Maybe someone knows the solution.

Thanks for replay

Hi,

I found this link here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/WebPage/40/index.htm

There is some explanation underneath the heading "Why won't my VGA card update to the latest version BIOS?" which may answer you questions.

If you are still unsure it might be wise to contact Gigabyte Technical Support and they may outline the steps you need to take.

Hi

Your problem is that you are trying to flash the card with firmware for another revision of card.

F1x is for first revision
F2x is for second revision
F3x is for the third revision

Therefore you are trying to flash you first revision card with a BIOS for the thiird revision card. Graphics cards don't follow the same sequence as motherboards I'm afraid.

I had the same issue, and when I checked my existing bios, it showed up the latest (f31) So  I purchased my graphic card with latest bios. Check yours as well before twicking with bios`s.
