I installed a Cooler Master  VortexPlus CPU fan to replace the stock fan that came with my ZT computer.  I am using EasyTune6 that came with my Gigabyte board to monitor the fan speed and the cpu temperature.  ET6 now reports the CPU fan speed as 0 for the Cooler Master even though it is working fine.  The Cooler Master power supply uses the same 4 pin connecter that the stock fan uses.

Any ideas as to why ET6 will not monitor the Cooler Master fan speed?

Thanks,
John

Hi and welcome.

Normally the reason for a program to fail to read the speed of a fan is if the fans connector doesn't have the required wire to feed back the pulses or one that connects direct to the power supply via a molex connector. What sort of connector does your fan use ?
