GA-P67A-UD3-B3 and 2x ASUS ENGTX560Ti SLI

Last week i recieved my new asus engtx560ti that i bought to get an sli setup with my 1 year old engtx560ti, wich is axactly the same apart from the bios version.

I cant get SLI to work, both cards are visible in the drivers, device manager, asus software and GPU-Z. They both work but i cant get them to work in sli configuration, the option "SLI and Physx" in the nvidia control panel isnt visible, it just shows "Physx" settings.

What i have done so far:

Updated motherboard drivers
Updated VGA drivers
Updated bios from F4 to F8
Loaded optimized default bios settings (got blue screens while booting with these settings so i had to customize them to solve the problem)
Cleaned drivers using Driver Sweep and installed various older drivers, even the newest "Asus" drivers 285.66
Removed the Realtek LAN drivers (saw a post on another forum that solved this problem)
Tried a new SLI bridge
Mounted the SLI bridge in the opposite direction

None of these solved my problem so far...

Is there a secret option in the bios settings, am i forgetting something or am i doing something wrong?

Hi

As the two graphics cards in question are both Asus models I would suggest try asking for advice for help on their forum. It is probably something to do with the cards rather than the motherboard.

I think i've found the problem... i checked the manual and it doesnt state that the board supports SLI, it will only support ATI's Crossfire...
Well, there goes another €150 for a new motherboard...

Yes, I think you are right. I have just done some checking and there is no mention of SLI or Nvidia cards at all only Crossfire for ATI cards.  This is one of those cases where you wish you had done your homework first isn't it.

Yep, i was convinced that my motherboard supports SLI...

I have solved the problem now, bought a Asus P9P67 Deluxe yesterday costing me another 180 euro's but ok ive got an SLI setup now.
Didnt buy a gigabyte board because they dont have any mid-high range p67 motherboards anymore and p67 beats z68 in all the tests and benchmarks...

So goodbye for now and thnx for the help!

P67 DOES NOT beat Z68, not sure what you were looking at but it's got to be wrong.   You could have grabbed a mid-range Gigabyte Z68 and been set

ive looked at several benchmarks for this and p67 beats z68 on nearly every test

for example, take a look at this tests benchmarks:

That's comparing some pretty average / poor / budget boards it looks like to me, so I don't think that's a good or fair example.  

Do you see any with Gigabyte P67 vs Gigabyte Z68 showing that, I doubt you'll find any not because no one compared, but because it's not true?  

And, even in the results you linked, those are 3-5 points apart, many even less than that, so no way that can be used as a good example because they are too close to be able to say if that's not just general differences between the times the benchmarks where ran, or minor differences in BIOSes, ect
