Hi again, some time ago I wrote to GIGABYTE support but I got nothing that would help.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid off/reduce CPU vcore throttling on load?
I have my 8120 set at 4GHz and manualy vcore to normal @1.25v but on the load it hits like 1.30v...
8 turned off all "green" options. Is there anything esle that can help?

Got the same MB and the same CPU. 1.25v is a bit low for it running at 4GHz imho. I reduce the vcore in the BIOS by 0.25v while having it clocked at 3.8GHz atm. So it`s at 3.125v or something (default is 3.325v when disabling Turbo if I remember correctly).

Are you sure that you have changed the vcore and not the cpuvid?
The real actual cpu voltage is best shown by Gigabyte`s Easy Tunes program afaik.

Have you turned off APM mode and C&Q in the BIOS? Have you set the Windows energy safing options to highest performance?

Well im sure Smiley my cpu vcore is @ 1.25-1.3 with 8x4Ghz. I dont think its possible to have the cpu vcore@ 3.125 because max safe vcore for this cpu is like 1.5v Smiley
I checked the vcore with hwmonitor, cpu-z, occt, touch bios and aida so i think they all dont show wrong value...

Ps what temperatures max do You have @ 3.8?

Yesterday I`ve overclocked to 4.2 and played around a little bit.
I left the vcore on default value. The shown core voltage (CPU-Z) is about 1.2+ in Windows. I have yet to check if it changes under load. The system runs stable with these settings under gaming conditions. The temperature rises to 56 degrees celsius in Prime`s blend test after completing test1. While gaming it goes up to 45 degrees (Arma2 CPU benchmark using up to 4 cores). The max temperatures with 3.8 are about 40 in Arma2 and 53 in the Prime (measured like above).
I really don`t want to run Prime tests longer because I don`t wanna read CPU teamperatures above 60 degrees. That`s something I`m a bit afraid of.
What`s your BIOS version btw?

My BIOS version is final F10. And I have very similar temperatures on 4Ghz with my Thermaltake Contac 29.
I used prime for an hour or so and the temperature didnt went above 60C.
I also use default vcore I changed only the multiplier and turned turbo off Smiley

Had clocked CPU to 4GHz by setting the multiplier to 20x. CPU vcore on default. During Prime's blend test vcore switches between 1.360 and 1.344 volts. Temperature reaches 60 degrees after about 3 minutes. I'm a bit diappointed because I've added two additional case fans as intakes in the very bottom and in the low front of my midi. It might be that Speedfan that controls CPU and Case fans reacts a bit to slow in increasing the fan speeds especially when starting Prime.

Then I tried 4.0GHz with NB and CPU voltage both decreased by 0.25v. Voltage during Prime has been 1.328v or 1.312v. Temperature afte several minutes not higher than 59 deg. Look  like my new favourite settings.   Smiley

Well, I there is a Load Line Calibration option (in the Power Management settings if I rember correctly) . I think it`s on Auto. Gonna check it.

Look under 'Advanced'. Its called 'Load line control'.. my bad lol..

I'm a little confused and concerned, as to why they would have the 'auto' mode set to such an aggressive state. There should be no auto setting and normal should be default.

With LLC on auto, my cpu would jump to 1.45v (maybe more), while watching video or surfing the web.  Huh

When at idle, there won't be much temp difference. Gaming temps ect will be much lower.

Tested it under full load with Prime.

Just noticed again that you are overclocked. Run the cpu at stock, with and without LLC. Then you should see a difference.
