Well i was'nt going to wait, i allso believe that gigabyte done this on purpuse to force us into a new mobo, good thinking gigabyte, i got a new asus sabertooth mobo, shame on you GB for leaving me with a dent ion my wallet for nothing!
Get your plan worked out, a plan that does'nt involve raping your customers!

Still, i just got 2 windforce gtx 670's so i'm not anti gb, just mad with them!

Well I think I solved my problem... When my MSI Z77a-GD65 get's here I'll put the Sandy back in the Gigafail and make that my TV PC.  Then I don't have to worry about updating the BIOS.  Not that I'm happy about shelling out more cash for another board.  I'll make sure that I don't send any money Giga's way for this fun-un-drum.  It is kinda like when I sent a board to DFI after I had gotten it back from warranty that didn't work and then when I sent it back they said the wouldn't warranty it.  Anyone know where DFI went?

I like to think that as consumers we have the power to put our money with companies that will take care of us and not give us the line of "we will forward this to management."  I find it extremely bothersome that Gigabyte touts their "engineering" when obviously they knew they had a problem and didn't want to dig in to fix it until the last minute.  Now we have to wait to unlock our unlocked chips.  That doesn't work for me and I'm sure it doesn't work for anyone that bought a board with the expectation of upgrading in the future.  If I did what Gigabyte did at my job I'd be canned.  I'll have a little fun at their expense though.

When i surf the net after a while it locks up also i have not updated my bios past the last official bios release, all i did was install i5-3570k in a z68a-d3-b3,does anyone else have this problem.

I have Z68XP-UD4 on bios F6 and i5-3570K, max multiplier is 38. I asked from gigabyte tech support if there'll be a fix with new bios. Their reply:

"It is the CPU that decide if the multiplier is locked or open. On the K series Intel CPUs the multiplier is always open."
