GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with i5-3570K overclocking problem
« on: June 20, 2012, 08:23:49 pm »
Hi,

While attempting an overclock I cannot get the F12 BIOS to accept a clock multiplier greater than 38.

GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3, i5-3570K

Any suggestions?  Tx.

Hi

From my understanding there is a problem with the BIOS on the Z68 boiards that locks the multipliers on the Ivybridge K chips.

Encase anyone has a similar issue, get the new Bios, apparently fixes the issue.
Z68 chipset:

G1.Sniper 2 - U1C (UEFI BIOS with unlocked Ivy Bridge multiplier)
Z68X-UD7-B3 - F11a (AWARD BIOS with unlocked Ivy Bridge multiplier)
Z68AP-D3 Rev. 2.0 - UA4 (UEFI BIOS with unlocked Ivy Bridge multiplier)
Z68AP-D3 Rev. 1.0 - U1A (UEFI)
Z68MX-UD2H - F13a
