Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Hi all,
I own a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti and when I play Diablo 3 with Anti-Aliasing and everything on High my PC also restarts, when I enter Tera Online right on welcome screen my PC restarts. When I kick down the graphics to medium in D3 it seems to play fine until I get into a group of 4 with allot of activity on screen, then it restarts again.

>Nothing in Windows events viewer, just unexpected shutdown.
>I monitor temperatures with CPUID - video card hangs around 33-34C.
>I formatted about a month or two ago when I first got the card, running Windows 7 64bit.
>My old video card 8800 GTX worked fine, so I don't suspect it's the CPU or other components causing issues.
>550W Power Supply could be the issue, but I believe it meets the requirements for the video card.
>Tried using latest drivers and beta ones that just came out with same results.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I would say it is very likely that this problem you are having is related to a power issue and that your power supply is what is causing your problems.

What you describe is something that happened to me once when I ordered a prebuild computer and then when I got it and started gaming it would restart within minutes.

It turned out to be my power supply that was underpowered for that system and was causing the restart, because after replacing it my system worked great. 

So just because you got a 550W power supply it doesn't necessary means it is good power supply unit.

Whats the brand/model of your power supply?

My previous power supply failed, so I swapped it out from one of my older PC's. Rosewill RP550S-2MB 550W ATX 2.01 Modular Power Supply.

It's a bit older (2005-06) so I suppose it could be the issue. PSU only has x1 6pin connector so I had to utilize x2 peripheral.
I went ahead and ordered CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750. I'll let you know if it fixes my problem, thanks!

I was actually going to recommend that you replace your Rosewill PSU as I have heard Rosewill doesn't make the best quality power supplies. But I see you already thought about that and the Corsair TX 750W you have orded is top quality and it should certaintly provide enough power for your system.

Anyways looking forward to hearing if it solves your problems.

Got my new PSU last night and everything is working as it should! No more random restarts, thanks for your help!
