Hello all
I am selling my GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 on ebay because I got the Sniper Smiley , its currently on F8 bios. I can see that the F10 bios supports the Ivy Bridge CPUS.
The question is do you need a Sandbybridge CPU to make it boot? I dont have really have one available Can I at least boot my board on F8 with an Ivybridge cpu and flash the bios to F10?
I hope the question marks sense.

Hi

I am afraid that your question isn't as clear as it could be. Which motherboard do you want to run the SandyBridge CPU with ? You talk about the GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 but then go on to make it sound like it is the Sniper that you want the information on. If so which Sniper do you have ?

Perhaps you could rephrase your question.

Hi

It is not a case of the motherboard being incompatible but just that the BIOS needs updating first. For this you will require a CPU that is supported by the existing BIOS. If you look at this link it will show you exactly which BIOS version is needed for a certain processor and this (GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 ) motherboard.
