Hi, I am looking to upgrade my HDD to SSD. I am unsing H55m-UD2H. Is there any thing I should aware of the upgrading? Any SSD specific model/maker that can be used? I am looking at Kingston 120 GB SSDNow V300 Sata III.

All a SSD is a hard drive without moving parts. Just make sure you have it set to boot AHCI. Plus one thing with that board yes it will work, but that board only supports 3gb sata ports.

The SSD is sata III 6gb. So yes the drive will work but you will not get the read / write speed like you would get if connected 6gb sata III port.
