I have the 3770k with stock cooler. When i turn on the power, everything appears normal except the CPU fan: it starts for around 0.5 second, stops. Then twitch for another 0.5 second, stops again, and starts up running at full speed for 3 seconds before settling down to normal speed. is this normal? do any of you experience this?

BIOS = F13 and I'm using optimized defaults

Spec:

3770k with stock cooler
No graphics card
G.skill 1600MHz 8GB
Seasonic 520W PSU

Hi

It sounds like the BIOS is trying to load but then falling back to the secondary BIOS before actually running. You could try synchronising both of the BIOS versions so that they are the same. Make sure that you have the latest update first and then load Optimised BIOS Defaults before syncing them.
