SYS2 FAN HEADER MAX CURRENT

SYS2 FAN HEADER MAX CURRENT
« on: October 14, 2012, 12:23:09 am »
Hi

I have a GA-Z68XP-UD4

Can I safely connect 2 or 3 3-pin case fans (splitter cable) to SYS2 fan header without overloading it?

What is the max current I can draw from this fan header?

I want to run the 3 fans off this header because it is the only non cpu fan header that allows software fan speed control.

The fans I want to use are rated are 120mm silverstone case fans rated at 0.33A
They spin at 1300 rpm @ 12V, but they will probably only be running around 4-600 rpm with software control.
However during PC startup  the fans  probably briefly use more than 0.33A

Thanks
Mike

btw it seems some gigabyte headers run 1A some run 3A, but can't find any data for this board.
