I've seen different variations of this problem posted but none quite like mine, so here goes. I just assembled a new computer. The hardware:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
CPU: AMD FX 4170
RAM: Patriot Viper 2x8GB Kit DDR3
GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7950
HDD: Plextor M5P Series PX-256M5P (SSD)
Optical: none at the moment
I'm attempting to install Windows 7 from a flash drive (my BD-ROM won't be in till some time next week) and I'm running into the following issue. Once the initial GIGABYTE screen loads I have about 2 seconds to press tab, f12 or delete. If I attempt to press delete to go to the BIOS settings, the screen changes as though it's beginning to load the BIOS menu but then cuts to the loading operating system screen. So I can't access the BIOS. No matter what I try the action is interrupted and I'm on the loading operating system screen.
If I boot up with the flash drive in it simply sits on the loading operating system indefinitely. Any thoughts on how I should proceed?
