Hi all, have just started up my new "passive" desktop and done some stresstesting to see how "passive" I can possibly go.
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (Rev: 1.3)
Intel Core i5-2500K 3,3GHz
Corsair Vengeance LP 4x4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz
Intel 520 series SSD 180GB
Thermalright HR-02 Macho (1x140mm fan)
Seasonic X-Fanless 400W PSU
Samsung DVD/RW 22X SATA
Fractal Design Arc case
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
In that process I have found out that the most critical part appears to be the z68 chipset temperature. Touching it with my fingers I find it to be surprisingly warm, some 40-50C with pc just idling.
SpeeFan shows 8 different temps(4 cores+ 4 more) so I took my wifes hairdryer to blow ambient air on the z68 chipset to see which temp would go down..NO REACTION whatsoever..
....please help...THANK YOU...
