GA-X79-UP4 cdrom wont read Win7

Hello,

I seem to be having a problem getting my blueray drive to work in Windows 7. I just bought this board 2 days ago.
So far for my trouble shooting I have read the manual and checked all the settings. On page 46 and 47 in the manual I read how to see if it's even there.I have checked and was able to see the blue ray drive. Then on the boot device order I have my SDD first and then blue ray drive second. There was one setting on the page that was bothering me. It's the PCI ROM priority. I have mine set to Legacy. When I set it to EFI compatilble the computer wont start.  Maybe this is the problem? I have PCIE slot to be the first diskplay though. I wil tell you one thing on my system before this I was running Win8  with secure boot fully enabled. Meaning the Compatibility Service Module was disabled. My previous motherboard bit the dust P9X79 WS. So when I get into Windows Seven I can see the CDROM ..and when I goto properties it says its working but when I put a dvd in it ....it just does nothing and if I try to open it .....it says put a readable disc in ...but it is...it's not even scratched. Please help. I'm attaching some screen shot's from Sisoft sandra maybe they can help.

I have 3 of those boards and mine are set to UEFI. Why are you running in Legacy? What kind of video card do you have?

Where do you have the drives connected too? The Intel or the Marvell controller.

Have you tried more than one disk? Bluray, DVD, and CD and none of them work?  I have the same board, same drive and Windows 7 and have no problems at all. Legacy PCI ROM is fine as I have this set so the MB will recognise my GTX 770OC (no "official" BIOS update available from GB yet).

Have you tried uninstalling (ie: physically unplugging) the drive from your system, removing the drivers, rebooting, then shutdown and reconnect the drive and let Windows "find it" again, this should reinstall the Windows drivers?

Do you have it connected to a SATA2 port, or are you in a SATA3 port by mistake? This may cause conflict if SSD is running on SATA3.
