Hi, can anyone help me?
I have a Gigabyte GA_EP41T-UD3L Revision 1.1 (DDR3 1066) and want to install the maximum amount of memory possible.
The specifications on the Gigabyte website say 8GB:
http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3348#sp------------
Memory
4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 8 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 1333 (O.C.)/1066/800 MHz memory modules.
(Go to GIGABYTE's website for the latest memory support list.)
* Because of Intel chipset limitation, please use single-side memory module if four memory modules are to be installed.
--------------
So it also says the memory must be single sided due to chipset limitations if using 4 modules. No memory on the memory compatability list is single sided over 1GB, does this mean that I can have 2x 4GB double sided memory installed and it will work, or is the maximum 4x1GB?
Currently using 2x1GB OCZ3G10662GK and working fine..
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mark
